CAPACITY BUILDING GRANTS
Teachers may be supported to attend an out-of-district educational conference offering a broader or international perspective. Applications are subject to availability of funding. Teachers who participate in this grant are expected to share learning at District Day or a different local event with no additional compensation.

Pro-D Funding Draw Summary
- Annual $2,000 grants are available; the number of awards depends on the budget.
- Apply by April 30 at 4:00 p.m. with all required documents.
- Eligible applications are entered into a draw held at the NDTA AGM in May—attendance (or an approved representative) is required.
- Funds must be used for one in-person Pro-D event that meets NDTA and BCTF guidelines.
- Normally, up to two members per school and five total may attend the same event.
- Expenses covered: registration, travel, accommodation, meals, membership fees, and TTOC costs (receipts required).
- Events can be attended anytime up to Sept. 15 of the following year.
- Recipients must present at the next District Pro-D Day.
- Past winners can reapply after four years; others may apply yearly.
